Thai kids set to go in 2024
Pho3nix Kids Thailand has announced its five race dates for the 2024 season, adding one new venue in Bangkok as well as returning to four previous venues.
The multisport race series by sport nonprofit Pho3nix Foundation caters to children of all fitness levels from the ages of 5 to 15, offering triathlon, duathlon, and fun run categories with age group prizes.
Pho3nix Kids Thailand kicks off on 14th January 2024 at the ISB International School Bangkok, then heads to new venue Wellington College Bangkok on 3rd March, Pattana Sports Resort in Sri Racha on 16th June, 700 Year Stadium Chiang Mai on 6th October, and finally Blue Tree Phuket on 16th November.
This announcement comes on the heels of a successful 2023 series concluding at Blue Tree in Phuket, Thailand on 19th November with a blockbuster 568 participants, a new per event record. The series had a total of 1376 participants this year, a whopping 46% increase year-on-year.
“We are thrilled to see the series grow as much as it has,” says Roman Floesser, Regional Director – Asia for the Pho3nix Foundation. “What’s even more exciting is that we were able to provide access to many kids who never had the chance to take part in this type of activity before. Putting a smile on so many kids’ faces is priceless and very rewarding.”
With the sport’s biggest names like Olympic medallists Alistair Brownlee and Jonathan Brownlee, Javier Gomez Noya, Nicola Spirig, and four-time world champion Chris McCormack involved in race series across the United Kingdom, Spain, Switzerland, Greece, Australia, Thailand, and the Philippines, Pho3nix Kids has brought the joy of swim, bike, and run to more than half a million children around the world.
